Beach Must Haves

Is it your first beach trip? Maybe, its just been a few years since your toes were in the sand and you could hear the waves?

Packing for a beach trip can be a little overwhelming, and sometimes you forget things at home or you're just not sure what to bring.

Don't worry, we have compiled a list of the things you'll need to ensure a perfect beach day.

First things first, you'll need a trendy beach bag. You're going to want one big enough for a beach towel- not a bath towel. Your beach towel should as tall as you so you can lay out and soak up the rays. If you don't have one and don't have enough time to grab one before you leave, we have plenty of local shops you can grab one at.

You're going to want sunglasses. A nice pair of shades to protect your eyes from the sun; they also cover your eyes so you can take the best nap.

PLEASE bring your sunscreen. SPF protects the skin from harmful UV rays. I know, you came to the beach for fun in the sun and to get a cute tan, pick a SPF level that best protects your skin.

SHOES... you'll want shoes. The sand can be really hot in the summer. The closer to the water, the cooler the sand. So, if you want that sand between your toes feeling, walk along the shoreline. Unless your condo is on the beach, you're more than likely going to have to walk on pavement to get to the beach.

Beach Chairs aren't necessary, but highly recommended.

The same with cameras, you're going to want to capture the sunset or snap a few pictures of the wildlife at the beach. Why not bring a camera?

All along the coast, we have amazing restaurants right on the beach. Most allow you to go inside with just your bathing suit on. If you aren't comfortable doing so, then pack a change of clothes.

Waterproof bags and Zip-Lock bags are a life saver when taking electronics on the beach. You can purchase some at the local shops on the beach!

Bring an extra bag for trash...Leave Only Footprints is our motto for the beaches along our coast. This means: Throw away all trash in the bins provided at the beach. Can't find one? Place all of your trash in your beach bag until you find a bin to throw your trash away.

Finally, the sun has set and you're ready to head back to the condo. Yes, there is going to be sand everywhere. The sand on your legs and feet never seems to go away. EVER. Luckily for you, we have a pretty good solution. Get yourself a travel sized baby powder and a dry, microfiber rag. Sprinkle the baby powder where the sand is on your legs and then wipe it all away with the microfiber rag. The sand comes off and your legs are dry!

Do the "phone, wallet, keys" checklist before you leave, making sure you didn't leave the keys in the Gulf, and you should be good to enjoy the rest of your day!
