Many locals go their whole lives without seeing these sneaky, little creatures. They're so tiny but play a major role in the ecosystem of our coastal habitats. The Alabama Beach Mouse is an endangered species that is protected by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Endangering or killing these animals is a crime and is punishable by law.

Beach Warning Flags
Please be advised that there will be no lifeguards on duty on Gulf Shores and Orange Beach public beaches from October through February. During this time, beach patrol and response will be limited. Always check the beach flags and surf conditions before entering the water, and never swim alone.
